Usina Alto Alegre

Usina Alto Alegre, a company that generates 7600 direct jobs, has as objective exploration, production, industrialization, trade, importation and exportation of sugarcane especially for the production of sugar and alcohol, their commercialization and exportation and the generation, co-generation and commercialization of electric power due to the processing of the sugarcane pulp and other alternative sources.

The plant of Paraná is the largest supplier of sugar for the south of the country, and the fifth largest plant in Brazil. The group uses about 21 thousand people direct and indirectly, it has an installed capacity to process, approximately, 4,5 million tons of cane and to produce about 8,6 million bags of granulated sugar, 4,0 million bags of refined sugar and 120 million liters of hydrated alcohol, besides the co-generation of 45 MWh of electric power in the harvest.
